Programme Director, Creating Inclusive Cultures

Fiona has worked on the Diversity and Inclusion agenda for over 20 years in the public, private and third sectors. Current clients include: RHA; Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust; EY; Yorkshire Building Society; Liverpool Football Club; St Gemma’s Hospice; Arriva North and Direct Line.

Fiona’s first experience of diversity was a programme for women returners in the early 1990s, a European funded project. Since then Fiona has successfully developed and implemented a wide range of award winning D&I programmes included a gender programme for senior academics; a recruitment programme to diversify the talent pool for head teacher recruitment; a programme to diversify the newly qualified teacher intake; an inclusive work life balance programme; a Return to Learn programme for facilities management employees; and most recently the implementation and management of entry level/graduate development programmes.

Fiona is an experienced Organisational Development professional and has held a number of roles where she has been responsible for all aspects of employee development and engagement. Combining OD with D&I has meant that Fiona has successfully ensured that D&I is embedded into every aspect of the employee life cycle from pre-recruitment, through performance appraisal and development, to supporting employees exiting an organisation. Fiona has delivered a wide range of leadership and management development programmes and facilitated cross organisational mentoring programmes in Leeds.

Fiona has been an advisor on a number of D&I forums, a social inclusion and diversity champion for Business in the Community, and an adjudicator for diversity awards. Fiona is currently a member of the Regional Development Board for Breast Cancer Haven in Yorkshire.

Fiona is an accredited coach and member of the British Psychological Association as well as a member of the CIPD. She is also a Restorative Practice facilitator and accredited to deliver Outcomes Based Accountability training.
