Like many Karen “fell into” housing as a career. She achieved a 2:1 Honours Degree in Housing and a Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) on day release.
Karen was the most people-focused CEO working in the not-for-profit sector at the HR Excellence Awards in 2015 andhas been nominated in the past for Women Achievers.
Karen has worked hard to promote great places to live work and grow and the building of ‘Homes’ not units. Passionate about safeguarding of children and adults she has also been a Board member at City West Housing Trust and a Governing Board member at the CIH. Awarded Mentor of the Year 2018 by the CIH Karen passionately believes “that good quality housing is the base from which all people can become successful” and strives to raise the importance of housing in all its tenures as fundamental to a growing economy and thriving communities.
