The Gender Balance Network was formed in October 2017 to support and challenge HS2 Ltd and its supply chain to create a culture which supports both genders fulfil their potential at work. Less than a year after starting, over 10% of HS2 Ltd employees are members of the Network.
Bridget has always worked in industries where women have been in the minority. Prior to joining HS2 Ltd in 2016, she worked at the National Audit Office where she managed value for money reviews on major projects.
As a qualified accountant, she was frequently the only woman in the room and these experiences led to her interest and activities on gender balance.
Bridget is also an artist and volunteer mentor for the Social Mobility Foundation.
